How does PicKey.ai work ?
PicKey.ai uses state of the art Artificial Intelligence vision algorithms; to turn anything you see, into a unique, computer generated memory. This is similar to human photographic memory.
With this, PicKey.ai's AI engine can remember any vision memory uniquely, even if there are certain physical changes around it.
For example : When you look at your living room, your brain confirms that it is your own living room - based on a vision memory that you have created for it before. Just by looking at your living room, you would instantly recognise it, even if things have moved around a little. PicKey.ai does the same thing, albeit with artificial neurons, and with superhuman accuracy. This unique vision memory becomes your Vision Secret (primary password).
You can turn anything you see into a unique Vision Secret - your living room, your face, your backyard or even your favourite spot in the park. If your Vision Secret is a place, it remains known only to you (unlike Face Login - where everyone knows your face).
For a secondary password, PicKey.ai uses Keymojis, which are 3D characters appearing in Augmented Reality or 3D views, and are often animated with sound or music. Since Keymojis have no physical presence and are entirely virtual; we use them as secrets and as secondary passwords.
Once your Vision Secret (primary password) and your Keymoji Secret (secondary password) matches the values you had set-up, you login to your PicKey.ai account successfully. This is also called Master Key Login, since the Vision Secret and Keymoji Secret form a Master Key together.
Since PicKey.ai is a Password Manager, it would manage all of your passwords after you log-in successfully. So, the only thing you need to remember to manage all of your passwords - is the place( or face) your turned into your Vision Secret and the AR Keymoji Secret; while enjoying the cinematic login experience.

Memory or a Picture?
The Vision Secret is based on the concept of visual memory and not just about a single picture of an object/place/face. If someone says "Statue of Liberty", you can simply visualize the Statue of Liberty in your mind, with very high accuracy; without even looking at a picture of it. The Visual Secret is based on this concept of visual memory, and is not limited to a single picture of something.
What is a Keymoji Secret ?
PicKey.ai uses Keymojis as secrets. Keymojis are 3D characters appearing in Augmented Reality or 3D views, and are often animated with sound or music. Since Keymojis are private, personalized, have no physical presence and are entirely virtual, we use them as secrets and as secondary passwords.

Do I need both Vision and Keymoji secrets to create a Master Key ?
Yes. Your Master Key is made up of a Vision Secret and a Keymoji Secret. This is how PicKey.ai enables multi-factor-authentication and verifies both secrets before authenticating you.
Under ideal conditions, PicKey's AI programs alone (Vision Secret), can match, and even outperform Biometric Fingerprint Readers and Iris Scanners. A secondary verification factor (Keymoji Secret) helps in increasing the security of your authentication even further and boost AI's verification in less than ideal conditions.
How do I login on a laptop or desktop ?
You need to be logged into your mobile app (iOS or Android) before you can login to a browser plugin on your laptop/desktop. To proceed with login, you will need to enter a unique code sent to your email, and then another one sent to your device where you are logged in.
Please ensure that your mobile device can receive a unique login code. The device must be connect to an internet network and should not be on a battery saver/ low power/ reduced performance or flight mode.

What do I do if I forget my Vision or Keymoji Secret ?
- It is recommended to create multiple Master Keys (Vision and Keymoji secret combinations) to enable self-recovery of your account. If your forget one of them, you can use a different Master Key to login.
- The image you would use to create your Vision Secret will also be saved on your device. This will make it easy to remember.
What happens if I lose my phone ? How do I login on a new device ?
Just login on your new device using the same Vision and Keymoji secrets that you had used while creating your Master Key. If you have multiple Master Keys (recommended), then you can login with any of these keys.
Any best practices to create Place Vision Secrets ?
- Places with a lot of objects or various details, make the best secrets.
- Avoid empty, pale looking places, like single-colored walls in an empty room. They lack details and are not an ideal choice.
- Please do not use single colors (like all black, all white ) as your vision secret as this does not create a meaningful secret.
- When creating multiple Place Master Keys, ensure their Vision Secrets are different from each other.
- The AI program checks every detail. If two Master Keys are created in areas close to each other, they may look the same (even backgrounds, floors, doors etc.).
If creating multiple Keys, it is recommended that you create Place Vision Secrets at places that clearly look different than one another.
How does MagicPass work ?
In simple terms, this means that the vision memory acts as an input to a series of functions that are stacked, one after another, to create a unique, cryptographically secure, regeneratively-random and strong password; from metadata alone.
The functions are selected randomly too, but for a certain MagicPass password, exactly the same functions team-up in exactly the same order, to create exactly the password you had created earlier.
This lets us generate the exact same password value from the neural memory of your Master Key, and the password does not have to be stored anywhere on PicKey.ai (or anywhere else).
What Mobile devices does PicKey.ai Support ?
Augmented Reality Support
- iOS : All models are supported above iPhone 8. Support for OS versions above iOS 14. Augmented Reality (AR) is enabled by default on all supported devices.
- Android : PicKey defaults to a 3D view for Android devices. Augmented Reality (AR) view can be turned on in the settings if your device supports AR. PicKey's Google ARCore integration support is still experimental.
- iOS : iOS 14 and above.
- Android : Android Version 7 (Nougat) and above.
How Secure is PicKey.ai ?
Security of your data is of utmost importance to us and PicKey.ai leaves no stone unturned to take special care on how data is captured, communicated, stored and accessed. These measures include :
- End-To-End Encryption on all devices.
- Sensitive data is salted and hashed.
- Sensitive data is encrypted at rest with military-grade AES-256 Cypher (GCM/CBC).
- Sensitive data storage is access locked and cannot be accessed by anyone (including us).
- RBAC by design.
- All inter-module communication is encrypted over SSL.
- Quantum Proof identifiers (unique ids) generation.
- Multi-Factor Authentication for all account access.
- OAuth2.0 with stringent token control, roles and rotation.
- Random time delays for certain critical operations.
We also believe that the best way to keep data secure, is by not storing it in the first place. If there is no data stored, it cannot be compromised.
- PicKey.ai always works with your data on a need-to-know basis and does not collect any unnecessary data. For example - we do not collect your name, age, location or any other personal information. We only need your email to authenticate you per our need-to-know policy.
- We've created MagicPass™, a novel, storage-free password that is never stored anywhere on our infrastructure. AI's neural memory helps us re-create the exact same password value whenever you ask for your MagicPass™ password. This also follows our need-to-know policy for data handling.

Along with our data security and integrity goals, at PicKey.ai, it is our policy to provide absolute user privacy and act responsibly on it. Not only do we aim at using and collecting data on a need-to-know basis, PicKey.ai never shares, distributes, sells, or exposes your private data with any other party, organization, government, or country.
